
Orkney Peatfire Tales are held at Via Folk Art Studio (with disabled access throughout) in Sandwick, with evenings of island story, music and dance for up to 35 people every Sunday*, Tuesday and Friday, from March to October.

Other Peatfire Tales evenings to enjoy include 'A Taste of Orkney' - tales and sketches from six islands - which is a select evening by candlelight for ten guests once a week.
Via Folk Art Studio has a folklore library, a large stone built open peatfire, Orkney chairs, toilets, disabled access and can hold larger groups. Throughout the studio you will see hand painted murals depicting Orkney legends and lore. The studio is located in a rural setting close to Brodgar and Skara Brae (directions below) Via even has it's own stones and a Bronze Age Burial Mound. You will find yourself quite literally surrounded by the history and lore of Orkney!

In order to reach Via House in Sandwick, travel on the main Stromness to Kirkwall road (A965.) Turn onto the road to the Ring of Brodgar (which is well sign-posted) and proceed until you reach the road end. Turn left for approximately 600 metres on the A967 and you will arrive at Via House.
