A time in the old Orkney crofts with their cruisie lamps under the rafters, the feeblest of glimmers, with the old soft mouths at the edge of darkness telling their spells and stories over and over and over...

Orkney Peatfire Tales are held at Via Folk Art Studio (with disabled access throughout) in Sandwick, with evenings of island story, music and dance for up to 35 people every Sunday*, Tuesday and Friday, from March to October.
